Director’s Desk – A Message from Additional Director Praveen Wadalkar

Hello Everyone,

It’s a privilege to connect with you through Outplay Sports Foundation, a platform that resonates deeply with my passion for community building, mentorship, and transformative growth. My journey here is not just professional; it’s personal. Every step of my life – from entrepreneurship to mountaineering, from public speaking to mentorship – has taught me that the power to change lives often begins with a single spark, a single vision. That is what I bring to Outplay Sports Foundation – a spark to ignite potential and make a meaningful difference.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the honor of wearing many hats. As an Official Mentor & Advisor for the TIDE panel for Startups at IIT Roorkee, I guide young entrepreneurs to turn their dreams into impactful ventures. In 2019, I received the Most Promising Entrepreneur Award by ET Now, and in the same year, I became a Quarterfinalist in the World Championship of Public Speaking, an experience that shaped my understanding of communication’s transformative power. Recognition as one of the Top 50 Influential Persons in Healthcare Asia by IFAH and founding a healthcare technology company with over 100 employees have been milestones that reflect my commitment to innovation, resilience, and leadership.

But beyond professional accolades, I am driven by a love for challenges and personal growth. I am a certified mountaineer from the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, where I learned the values of discipline, perseverance, and respect for nature. My experiences in mountaineering taught me that no summit is insurmountable, a lesson that I bring to every aspect of life, including my work at Outplay Sports Foundation.

One project that is especially close to my heart is our Slum Boxing Project. It’s not just about sports; it’s about giving underprivileged kids a fighting chance, both literally and metaphorically. Boxing is a discipline that teaches resilience, focus, and self-belief. Through this initiative, we are not merely training future boxers; we are instilling a sense of purpose and self-worth in children who often face limited opportunities. This project embodies the core of what Outplay Sports Foundation stands for – empowering every individual to rise above their circumstances and reach their full potential.

Another passion of mine is The Life School, a platform I founded for lifelong learners dedicated to mastering communication and personal growth. At The Life School, we focus on self-talk, interpersonal communication, and public speaking – essential skills that open doors and transform lives. This philosophy aligns seamlessly with Outplay Sports Foundation’s mission, as both endeavors seek to equip individuals with the tools they need to succeed, not just in sports but in life.

At Outplay Sports Foundation, my role as Additional Director is more than a title; it’s a commitment to fostering a culture of empowerment, resilience, and lifelong learning. Together with my colleagues, we are building an ecosystem where every child, every young adult, and every aspiring athlete can find their path. We aim to provide opportunities for growth, from physical fitness and mental toughness to communication and self-belief.

To the young dreamers out there, I want to say this – life is full of challenges, but each one is an opportunity to grow. Whether it’s in the boxing ring, the classroom, or a stage, believe in yourself, embrace the journey, and know that there are people here who believe in your potential.
