Director’s Desk – A Message from Founder Director Pravin Chirmure

Dear Friends, Supporters, and Aspiring Athletes,

It’s an honor to reach out to you from the Director’s Desk at Outplay Sports Foundation, and I want to share a piece of my journey that has led me here, alongside my incredible team, with the shared vision of making sports accessible to all. This foundation is built on a mission that’s deeply personal to me – a mission shaped by my experiences, struggles, victories, and the invaluable support I received when I needed it most.

My journey began in the humble surroundings of Ashok Nagar, Kandivali, where I attended a municipal school. It was here that I was introduced to the world of martial arts, thanks to a free karate training program under the guidance of Sensei Rocky Dsouza. This wasn’t just training – it was a life-changing opportunity. Through Sensei’s talent hunt program, I discovered a passion that would drive me to explore the vast world of martial arts and fitness. From free karate classes to standing in the Republic Day Parade in 2007 with the Maharashtra NCC Directorate, these early experiences taught me discipline, resilience, and the power of hard work.

As my journey continued, I achieved my black belt in Shotokan karate and went on to explore various martial arts – from Wushu and kickboxing to Judo and MMA. Each new discipline was a doorway to self-discovery and empowerment. Martial arts became my wings, enabling me to soar beyond the limits of my circumstances, to see the world, and to push the boundaries of what I thought was possible.

Growing up around the historic Pargad Fort, with its rich legacy and cultural significance, I always carried a sense of pride in my roots. This heritage instilled in me the values of dedication and resilience, and as my passion for fitness and martial arts deepened, I found myself training celebrities, working as a fitness trainer, and eventually stepping into leadership roles. Today, I serve as the President of the Mumbai Suburban Wushu Association and am the founder of both Altitude Quest Adventure and the Learn Foundation. Each of these roles has been a stepping stone, leading me towards Outplay Sports Foundation.

At Outplay, we are united by a singular purpose – “Sports for All”. Together with my colleague and fellow director, we share the belief that every young person, regardless of their background or circumstances, should have the chance to discover their potential through sports. We envision a world where sports is not a privilege but a right, where every aspiring athlete has access to training, resources, and opportunities.

Outplay Sports Foundation is our way of giving back, of creating the same life-changing opportunities that we were fortunate to receive. Our programs are designed to find, nurture, and empower talent, ensuring that no one is left behind. Whether it’s martial arts, adventure sports, or fitness training, we’re here to inspire, support, and guide the next generation of athletes and leaders.

To all the young dreamers out there, I want to say – this is just the beginning. I’ve been where you are, and I know the power of a helping hand, a mentor, and a community that believes in you. Outplay Sports Foundation is here to be that for you, to give you the wings to fly, just as I once did.
